Conférences et ateliers créatifs autour des ghostnets à l’occasion de la Biennale de Venise

Friday 27th of September :

9:40 – 10:45am | Erub Arts: A Journey in Ghost Net
Torres Strait Islander artists Jimmy Thaiday and Lavinia Ketchell, together with Lynnette Griffiths, will share their approach to creating large-scale works from Ghost Net, blending traditional stories and environmental concerns.

11:00 – 11:45am | Géraldine Le Roux: Navigating with Ghost Nets Art
Géraldine Le Roux, Senior Lecturer in Anthropology at the Université de Bretagne Occidentale and PI of OSPAPIK, will discuss the impact of Ghost Net art on marine plastic waste, linking ecological impact and cultural heritage.

11:45am – 12:30pm | Franca Tamisari: Singing and Dancing Land, Water, and Sky Country
Pr. Franca Tamisari from Ca’ Foscari University will explore Indigenous Australian songs and dances as ways to maintain and renew connections with land and water.

14:30pm – 16h30pm | Worshop : Discover the stories behind the ghostnets art movement.

This unique workshop is structured around the polysensorial and creative approach of a new tactile illustrated book. With the contribution of the Australian artists Jimmy K. Thaiday, Lavinia Ketchell and Lynnette Griffiths. Organised by OSPAPIK and Les Doigts Qui Rêvent. With the support of Fondation Opale and Muséum d’histoire naturelle du Havre.
