Débats de Santos : Océan sans frontières

On May 8, 2025, in Lisbon, the French Embassy in Portugal and the Institut Français will host a new edition of the “Débats de Santos,” as a prelude to the third United Nations Ocean Conference, scheduled to take place in Nice from June 9 to 13, 2025.

Entitled “Ocean Without Borders,” the event will bring together two speakers: Géraldine Le Roux, anthropologist, specialist in Indigenous ocean-related cultures, and Director of the OSPAPIK program, and Tiago Pitta e Cunha, Executive Director of the Oceano Azul Foundation and expert in European maritime policies. They will discuss the cultural, political, and environmental issues surrounding ocean governance.

The discussion will be moderated by journalist Margarida Davim.
