A multi-sensory and poetic experience with ghostnets and broken glass
Friday Sep 29, 2023
Océanopolis, Brest, France, 19h00 — 22h30
OSPAPIK offers you a multi-sensory and poetic experience based around ghostnets and broken glass, in the company of an anthropologist, a literature researcher, a doctoral student in ethno-philosophy and a special guest, Tahitian author Flora Aurima Devatine.
The exhibition of the art of ghostnets is presented in the form of sensory audio descriptions and an olfactory trail, the aim of which is to retrace the world of the ghostnet as it travels through the sea. To familiarise visitors with the nature of ghostnets, they will be able to get to grips with the raw materials and works in ghostnet, and take part in a net-weaving workshop. The stand will also feature a tactile interpretation of a photographic work by Tahitian artist and poet Flora Aurima Devatine, who will be performing her poetry.
In the presence of Estelle Castro-Koshy, Flora Aurima Devatine, Géraldine Le Roux, Emma Bourges, Gabrielle Guilcher and Lena Aldeano.
